Ceramic Spiders

I started this project at the end of our stay in South Africa. Sculptures with long legs subconsciously inspired on one of the biggest fears for a foreigner, spiders. I guess it was the scary stories about bites and several encounters at home, which lead me to start creating these pieces. The first one was big but ended up in the bin. It broke when being transported to the kiln. The legs make them difficult to work and handle. But I like the result and I continue improving the technique.
